The SEC slate complete with kickoff times and TV designations for a stacked Week 11 was released on Monday, and among the 6 matchups 2 of them stick out for all the right reasons.
Let’s start with those 2 November showdowns that drip with potential College Football Playoff implications. Both of the games happen to be on ABC, too. First, at 3:30 p.m. ET, we get Georgia traveling to Oxford to face Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss. The Rebels could potentially set themselves up for a Playoff bid by knocking off the Bulldogs, or their Playoff dreams could come crashing down.
Then, in the primetime window at 7:30 p.m. ET, there’s the annual November battle between Alabama and LSU, and since it’s an even year it’ll be staged at Death Valley. Both teams will be coming off a bye week and both teams already have 2 losses, so this will effectively be an elimination game when it comes to the Playoff.
The noon ET matchup on ABC isn’t bad, either, with Florida facing host Texas for the 1st time ever as SEC rivals.
Meanwhile, South Carolina visits Vanderbilt at 4:15 p.m. ET on SEC Network. The other 2 SEC matchups aren’t completely set yet, as Oklahoma travels to Missouri in an old Big 12 battle at either 7 p.m. on ESPN or at 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
The matchup featuring Mississippi State at Tennessee has the same either/or as Oklahoma-Missouri, with the kickoff in Knoxville either being at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or at 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
