It didn’t take long for other programs to start calling Mark Richt.
During the Bulldog Hotline radio show on Monday night, Richt estimated that five schools have contacted him since Sunday.
Richt was fired on Sunday after 15 years as Georgia’s head coach.
He declined to name any of the schools who’d contacted him. But one of those schools appears to be Maryland. Terrapin Nation reported that Richt was supposed to meet with the school on Tuesday.

Power Mizzou reported that Missouri has also contacted the departing Georgia coach. Missouri coach Gary Pinkel is retiring to focus on his battle with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Have been told #Mizzou was one of five schools to reach out to Mark Richt today. Do not know if he was receptive. — Gabe DeArmond (@GabeDeArmond) December 1, 2015
Richt has indicated he is still interested in coaching.
Richt went 145-51 and won two SEC titles in 15 seasons at Georgia. The Bulldogs are 9-3 this season.
