It was an interesting weekend where some SEC teams and players put up impressive numbers and others failed to impress.
With only two weeks of season to compile stats and the strength of opponents varying widely, it’s somewhat difficult to examine trends in the cumulative stats thus far into the season. For instance, Arkansas’s passing offense leads the league with regards to yards per game despite the awful performance against Toledo on Saturday.
Ole Miss and Texas A&M continue to pile up offensive production, but perhaps Texas A&M’s numbers aren’t as big as you might think due to the Aggies pulling off the gas pedal in the second halves of their first two games.
Looking at the individual stats, Brandon Allen has piled up yardage to lead all quarterbacks. Dak Prescott’s performance late against LSU also helped him maintain the No. 2 spot on the QB stats rankings.
No shock here: Fournette, Chubb and Henry lead the running backs with regards to yards per game.
