The good news after this game? The losing team won’t have to travel very far to get home.
That’s because No. 5 seed Florida took care of business and defeated No. 12 Vanderbilt 69-63 on Thursday.
Florida guard Tre Mann had an epic performance to lead the Gators with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the game.
Vanderbilt’s Scottie Pippen Jr. did his best to keep the Commodores in the game as he finished with 23 points.
With the win, Florida improves its record to 14-8 on the season, Vanderbilt falls to 9-16. The Gators now advance to the quarterfinals and will face Tennessee on Friday.
Tennessee beat Florida in the regular-season finale for both teams last weekend but Mann missed that game.
