Fan Gear: Which SEC West fan bases have the best 2016 coaches polos?

The coaches polos have become one of the most popular college football apparel items in recent years. While it gets redesigned each year, the coaches polo remains an easy way for male college football fans to look sharp and support his team.
If you’re still on the fence about which polo to buy for the 2016 season, we’re here to help.
Before we get into specific recommendations, let’s look at some high level trends.
First, you’ll notice the style remains consistent across the apparel brand. For instance, the schools that are represented by Nike will all have matching styles. The same with ADIDAS. Auburn is the sole Under Armour brand in the SEC West, and therefore, has its own style compared to the rest of the division.
Next, note the rise of anthracite. As gray alternate uniforms have made their way onto the field, the gray/anthracite color has also made its way into apparel. Fans are typically quite split on their opinions of anthracite. Nevertheless, there are three anthracite coaches polos shown below, and they are indeed very popular.
Nike: Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama fans have three very good looking options to consider. As mentioned, Alabama is one of the schools with the anthracite option. Our pick? Go with the standard white option, but you decide from the three options below.
Nike: Arkansas Razorbacks
Like Alabama, Arkansas also has three options. Unlike Alabama, Arkansas has actually worn the anthracite color on the field of play, so fans that enjoyed it might consider the anthracite polo. We still prefer either the cardinal or the white version. Both look great.
Under Armour: Auburn Tigers
The only Under Armour school in the SEC West, Auburn’s 2016 coaches polos have a slightly different style than the rest of the group. As expected with any Under Armour product, the company touts its technology: “The HeatGear technology will be hard at work wicking away moisture from your body when you work up a sweat cheering for your Auburn Tigers.”
Frankly, both the orange and the navy versions look great. If you’re like us and can’t determine a favorite, you might need to pick up both versions.
Nike: LSU Tigers
Once again, we’re suckers for anything in the LSU purple and gold. Their apparel just looks so darn good, and the 2016 coaches polos are no different. We’re big fans of both the white and the anthracite versions, but you can’t go wrong with the purple either. No losers in this group.
ADIDAS: Mississippi State Bulldogs
Here we see the distinct look of the ADIDAS line of coaches polos in 2016. While I’m not a huge fan of white and maroon two-tone, the maroon and heathered maroon combination is our choice between the two.
Nike: Ole Miss Rebels
Wow, that blue coaches polo for Ole Miss is sharp! For us, that’s a clear winner here. But, like all the Nike editions, it’s tough to go wrong with any of the three.
ADIDAS: Texas A&M Aggies
Similar to Mississippi State, Texas A&M sports the two-tone styled coaches polo. Each version has the same gray and maroon combination, each with a different one of the two as the dominant color.
Our Favorites
The Alabama classic white polo, the Ole Miss blue polo, anything LSU, the Auburn orange polo (the Under Armour adds a bit of uniqueness) and the Arkansas cardinal polo.
