Sedrick Van Pran looks to be entering the 2024 NFL Draft. Van Pran has not made any announcement, but the Senior Bowl revealed that the Georgia standout lineman has accepted his invitation to participate in the all-star game for seniors entering the draft.
Van Pran’s decision does not come as a surprise. He had the option to enter the NFL Draft for 2023, but elected to return to Georgia for another season. Van Pran was listed as a 4th-year junior on UGA’s 2023 roster.
Over the last 3 seasons, Van Pran has started the past 43 games at center. In 2022, Van Pran earned All-SEC Second Team recognition from the media and league coaches. He was a first-team selection for 2023. Sports Illustrated named Van Pran a first-team All-American for the 2023 season.
The SEC coaches recently honored Van Pran with the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for this season. Van Pran helped the Bulldogs average 38.4 points per game (No. 9 nationally) on 482.9 yards per game (No. 8), a clip of 7.12 yards per play (No. 7).
Out of Warren Easton in New Orleans, Van Pran was a top-60 prospect in the Class of 2020, rated 4-stars and the No. 1 center on the 247Sports Composite. He was a long-time UGA commit, but the Dawgs had to fend off Alabama and Florida after the departure of Sam Pittman. Van Pran will leave Athens with 2 national championship rings.
