Seneca Knight didn’t play for LSU during his brief stint with the program in early 2021 after transferring from San Jose State.
Then, this past offseason, he entered the transfer portal again, ending up at BYU. Now, he’s on the move again, leaving the Cougars ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Knight is drawing interest from 2 SEC programs — Mississippi State and Vanderbilt:
BYU transfer Seneca Knight tells me that he's receiving interest from the following programs:
Mississippi State
Vanderbilt
Santa Clara
Illinois State
South Dakota
Montana State
Morehead State
UMKC
Chattanooga
Rio Grande Valley— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) May 1, 2022
Those 2 SEC squads will compete with Santa Clara, Illinois State, South Dakota, Montana State, Morehead State, UMKC, Chattanooga and Rio Grande Valley for Knight’s commitment for the 2022-23 season.
Knight appeared in 27 games for BYU this past season, starting 8 of them. He averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
