Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks are starting the SEC schedule on Saturday night against Vanderbilt. It has been a very physical game, and things have gotten chippy.

Things hit a boiling point when Gamecocks quarterback LaNorris Sellers had to leave the game after he was hit in the head by Vanderbilt linebacker Langston Patterson. He stayed on the ground after the hit, and had to be helped on the field. The officials started the game back up, and backup Luke Doty came in.

Things looked like they were opening up for something big on the next play, but the officials stopped the game to review the hit on Sellers. While Patterson got ejected on it, that didn’t stop Shane Beamer from going off on the officials for stopping action so late.

Here’s a clip from the full sequence:

The Gamecocks find themselves in a tough spot as they are trailing the Commodores 14-7 at the half. If Sellers can’t return to the game due to his injury, it’s going to be on the backup Doty to come in and lead the team to a comeback victory.
