Florida down to two scholarship QBs after Skyler Mornhinweg transfers

The Florida Gators are now down to two scholarship quarterbacks following backup Skyler Mornhinweg’s decision to transfer to Columbia. Jim McElwain confirmed the news Wednesday.
Redshirt freshman Will Grier and sophomore Treon Harris will continue to compete through fall camp to be named the starter.

However, former Alabama quarterback Luke Del Rio is expected to enroll at Florida this summer. The Gators are also pursuing Notre Dame graduate transfer Everett Golson, who visited campus Tuesday morning.
As of right now, walk-on quarterback Jacob Guy is the Gators’ third option under center.
