South Carolina is bowl eligible, and Darius Rucker is keeping his promise

Saturday was a big day for the University of South Carolina.
The football team won its sixth game of the season — a 44-31 triumph over W. Carolina. As such, Will Muschamp’s team is now bowl eligible.
Prior to the season starting, a deal was set in place featuring USC AD Harris Pastides and famed country singer Darius Rucker.

If USC were to win six games, Rucker would play a free show on the heart of campus. It’s a big deal for Rucker — considering he’s a South Carolina native, and has an unabated love for the Gamecocks.
Since USC clinched the deal on Saturday, Rucker is living up to his word:

The concert will take place sometime in the spring at “The Horseshoe” on campus in Columbia.
One has to wonder, will we hear some old Hootie?
