South Carolina makes final 4 for 2023 4-star Maryland edge defender committing next month

After picking up 36 scholarship offers, Desmond Umeozulu is nearing a decision in his recruitment. On Wednesday, the blue-chip prospect from Maryland set his final 4 and a commitment date.
Umeozulu, a 4-star edge defender, revealed he will be deciding between South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio State and Pitt on Aug. 29. Umeozulu will make the announcement from his high school auditorium that morning.

Listed at 6-6, 239 pounds, Umeozulu is the No. 3 Maryland product, No. 19 edge defender and No. 163 prospect overall in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. He visited South Carolina last month.
