South Carolina has reportedly added two in-state opponents to its future schedules. According to FBSchedules, South Carolina State and Wofford are on future Gamecocks schedules.

The South Carolina State game is up first, scheduled for Oct. 1, 2022, in Williams-Brice Stadium. It completes South Carolina’s 2022 out-of-conference schedule as the Gamecocks are also scheduled to play Georgia State, Charlotte and Clemson. South Carolina won previous meetings against South Carolina State in 2007 (38-3) and 2009 (38-14).

South Carolina has new dates for a pair of games against Wofford. The Gamecocks are now set to host the Terriers on Nov. 23, 2024, and Sept. 5, 2026. The teams last met in 2017, a 31-10 South Carolina victory to give the program a 20-4 record in the all-time series that dates back to 1895.

The first meeting since 2017 has had the date moved around frequently. The game was first scheduled for 2021, then moved back to 2022, then up to 2020 before it was canceled due to COVID-19 and the SEC going to an all-conference schedule.

With Wofford on board for 2024, South Carolina has completed its out-of-conference schedule. The Gamecocks will also face Old Dominion, Akron and Clemson.

Wofford is the third out-of-conference game set for South Carolina’s 2026 slate. The Gamecocks are also scheduled to face Miami and Clemson.
