Bowl season may feel like an eternity from now but it will be here before you know it.

With an eye toward the 2019 college football season, the Sporting News recently released their preseason bowl projections for the upcoming season. While they don’t list the projected records for any teams, based on this list, you can get a feel for how much improvement the site predicts for several teams.

Ole Miss and Tennessee didn’t advance to bowl games last season (the Rebels were ineligible but would not have qualified regardless after finishing with a 5-7 record) but are listed below while Arkansas is the only eligible SEC program not listed below. Missouri is currently banned from postseason play by the NCAA but is appealing that decision.

Here is how the Sporting News projects the SEC bowl schedule to look like next season:

  • Vanderbilt vs. Houston in the Birmingham Bowl
  • South Carolina vs. Wake Forest in the Independence Bowl
  • Mississippi State vs. TCU in the Texas Bowl
  • Ole Miss vs. Florida State in the Belk Bowl
  • Kentucky vs. Virginia in the Music City Bowl
  • Tennessee vs. Nebraska in the TaxSlayer Bowl
  • Texas A&M vs. West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl
  • Auburn vs. Penn State in the Outback Bowl
  • LSU vs. Wisconsin in the Citrus Bowl
  • Florida vs. Syracuse in the Orange Bowl
  • Georgia vs. Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl
