Steve Spurrier likes to gamble, but his first questionable decision against Mizzou has backfired.

South Carolina elected to go for it on 4th-and-1 from its own 42 on the opening possession Saturday night against Mizzou and the Tigers snuffed it out for no gain.

Mizzou scored four plays later on Russell Hansbrough’s 18-yard run to take a 7-0 lead.
