It’s early in his recruitment, but Marcus Wimberly has already decided to stay home to play college football in Arkansas. The Class of 2025 defensive back has committed to play for the Razorbacks.
Wimberly took to Twitter on Saturday to announce the big news, sharing a note with the following:
“First off, I want to thank God for this opportunity. This was a decision I delayed for a long time, because I needed God’s confirmation. This morning he provided me with that confirmation and I thank him for every blessing and for his grace and mercy. I would also like to thank my parents and my family as a whole. They are great supporters and have my best interest at heart in everything I do. Last but not least, I want to thank all the coaches that have been there and helped develop me as a player and a young man along the way. With that being said, I am 1000% committed to The University of Arkansas!! WPS”
A Bauxite (Arkansas) standout, Wimberly is currently listed at 6-1, 180 pounds. Wimberly has not yet been rated by the major recruiting sites. His other offers include Michigan and Memphis.
