Staying home: LSU adds commitment from 4-star in-state DB

LSU has added another blue-chip commitment to its 2024 recruiting class.
Dashawn McBryde is the newest LSU pledge. The defensive back out of Denham Springs committed to play for Brian Kelly’s program hours after the Tigers’ spring game.

McBryde is listed at 6-2, 200 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, McBryde is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 Louisiana recruit, No. 24 safety and No. 266 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.
LSU extended its scholarship offer to McBryde on March 24. He has offers from 15 other schools, including Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

McBryde’s commitment to LSU comes a week after he was in Baton Rouge.
