Steve Kerr is a big fan of the Arkansas men’s basketball program, and has a specific example for why he believes that.

The Golden State Warriors coach spoke highly of former Arkansas star Moses Moody during an appearance on “Dubs Talk.”

“Moses, in a lot of ways, is the most advanced of the rookies, including James Wiseman,” Kerr said. “… Moses is really far along, just because he has an advanced feel for the game, he has the most experience of James and Jonathan (Kuminga), and playing a full season at Arkansas. Playing for a coaching staff, Eric Musselman, former NBA coach, playing games that really mattered, NCAA Tournament games, playing in front of 12,000, 15,000 people, that all matters. I think Moses came in at a more developed stage than James and Jonathan, and his game shows that, he’s pretty mature. I’m not afraid to put him out there at any time. So I think Moses is undoubtedly a long-term starter in this league.”

Moody has played in 35 games this season for the Warriors, and has averaged 9.5 minutes and 3.3 points per game. On Feb. 2, Moody put up a career-high 20 points (6-12 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with 7 rebounds and one assist across 37 minutes Tuesday in the Warriors’ 124-120 win over the Spurs.
