Steve Spurrier already excited for Cocktail Party: ‘We gotta beat those damn Bulldogs this year’

We’re still well over two months away from Oct. 30, but Steve Spurrier is already looking forward to this year’s Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.
Florida beat reporter Nick de la Torre of Rivals was out in Gainesville at Spurrier’s new restaurant when the HBC got on a microphone to address the crowd.
According to de la Torre, Spurrier brought up the showdown in Jacksonville when referencing his attire.
“I wore my Georgia-red shirt tonight to remind y’all we gotta beat those damn Bulldogs this year,” Spurrier told the crowd.
Florida will look to get another winning streak going in the rivalry. The Gators snapped their three-game losing skid against UGA with a 44-28 win over Kirby Smart’s squad en route to a division title.
Many preseason polls and predictions have the Dawgs reclaiming the SEC East in 2021. Perhaps the HBC isn’t a fan of the UGA hype.
