Auburn landed a massive piece to its 2020 recruiting class Friday afternoon in Tank Bigsby (Hogansville, Ga.)

Bigsby is rated a 4-star prospect and ranks as the nation’s No. 31 overall prospect, No. 7 overall running back in the nation and the state of Georgia’s No. 4 player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-0, 210-pound back chose Auburn over Georgia, LSU and South Carolina, among others. South Carolina appeared to be the early favorite, and then, Georgia started gaining steam. Lately, however, all indications said Auburn. His teammate, Tate Ratledge, is also committed to Auburn.

Since June 7, Bigsby had visited Auburn four times; so, the writing was on the wall.

The talented running back became Auburn’s 18th commitment in the class of 2020; however, he’s Auburn’s first running back commitment in the class.

With Bigsby’s commitment, Auburn has landed verbal pledges from six different prospects from Georgia in this recruiting cycle.
