Ole Miss cornerback Tee Shepard became the SEC’s third player of the day to be ejected of targeting.
There was little doubt about Shepard, though, after he hammered a Fresno State would-be receiver. The worst thing about Shepard’s ejection is he’ll miss the first half of next week’s game against Alabama, per NCAA rules.
Shepard missed the 2014 season due to a torn tendon in his toe that resulted in surgery, and the former JUCO prospect is a really good talent on the outside. He recorded one tackle in last week’s win.
