Tennessee is looking for another guard to replace the departing Kennedy Chandler. Santiago Vescovi also declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, but kept his college eligibility, so we’ll see what he ultimately decides to do.

For now, though, the Vols are hunting in the portal. And, they could land a Hunter.

Per a post on his Twitter page on Monday afternoon, Iowa State transfer point guard Tyrese Hunter has the Vols among his final 6 teams:

The Vols will compete with reigning champion Kansas, Louisville, Gonzaga, Texas and Purdue for Hunter’s services during the 2022-23 season.

Hunter appeared in 35 games for the Cyclones this past season, starting all of them. He averaged 11 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2 steals per contest.
