Tennessee is expected to bulk up its offensive line with an addition from LSU transfer who also visited Oklahoma earlier this month.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported the expectation after Heard was rated as the No. 3 tackle prospect and the No. 15 overall prospect in the nation for the 2023 class. Heard was the top-rated player in LSU’s Class of 2023 with 5-stars 247Sports. Heard is likely looking for more playing time after LSU’s Will Campbell and Emery Jones each elected to return for next season.
Heard at LSU made one start in 12 appearances this past season. He did not play in LSU’s 35-31 win over Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
After Gerald Mincey elected for the transfer portal, Heard is one option to replace him with the Vols.
