Tennessee now knows which teams it will face in SEC action from 2026 to 2029. The Volunteers’ future conference schedules were revealed live on the SEC Network on Tuesday.
One of the Vols’ permanent opponents was to be expected, and that’s Vanderbilt. The Commodores will host in 2026 and 2028 in Nashville before the in-state series heads to Knoxville in 2027 and 2029.
Kentucky will remain on the schedule through at least the next 4 seasons in a continuation of the long-running series between the neighboring states. As usual, even years will see the Volunteers host and odd years will see the Wildcats host.
And the Third Saturday in October rivalry isn’t going away, whether or not it keeps its traditional date. Alabama heads to Knoxville in 2026 and 2028 before Tennessee pays a visit to Tuscaloosa in 2027 and 2029.
The Vols will also play host to Auburn, LSU, and Texas and visit Arkansas, South Carolina, and Texas in 2026. Those arrangements will be flipped in 2028.
In 2027, Florida, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State will stop by Neyland Stadium while the Vols head to Georgia, Mizzou, and Oklahoma. Those home and away dates will be reversed in 2029.
