McNeill signed with Tennessee in December 2020 before Jeremy Pruitt’s firing. He was rated a 3-star offensive tackle on the 247Sports Composite but was recruited by former UT defensive assistants Shelton Felton and Derrick Ansley. With the Vols, McNeill played defensive line.
In 2021, McNeill played in 1 game. He made his collegiate debut against South Alabama but did not record any statistics. McNeill redshirted for the season.
This past season, McNeill made 6 appearances for the Volunteers. He recorded his first career pass breakup in the Ball State game on Sept. 1. McNeill finished with 3 tackles on the season.
McNeill is from Suwanee, Georgia and played at Peachtree Ridge High School. As a recruit, he had offers from 26 schools, including Minnesota, Virginia Tech and Washington State. McNeill has 3 remaining seasons of eligibility.
