Tennessee went 7-6 under Josh Heupel in Year 1 of his tenure as head coach in 2021 — an improvement from years past.
Now, though, the pressure is on to take another step forward in 2022. As the Vols prepare for this coming season following spring practices, some players are making their decisions on where they want to play.
On Wednesday, it was reported that former 4-star recruit Julian Nixon, a tight end, had decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal:

Nixon was a 4-star wide receiver in the 2021 class, but switched to tight end at Tennessee. He did not record any stats in the 2021 season.
Where he ends up playing this fall remains to be seen, but it appears his time on Rocky Top is coming to an end.
