Tennessee snags commitment from top-rated 2023 in-state recruit

Tennessee has been hot on the recruiting trails during the 2023 cycle already and the Vols got some more good news on Tuesday.
That’s because the top player from the Volunteer State announced he was heading to Rocky Top in 2023.
As you can see below, Caleb Herring, a 4-star edge rusher from Murfreesboro, took to Twitter to reveal his commitment to the Vols:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Herring is the No. 8 edge rusher in the class of 2023 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.
The Volunteers now have 8 players in their 2023 class, which currently ranks No. 9 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
