Bad news from Tennessee basketball, John Fulkerson is out for the team’s upcoming game against Oregon State in the first round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Fulkerson is still working his way back after taking a vicious elbow from Florida’s Omar Payne in the SEC Tournament. Fulkerson has not played since taking the blow to the face.

Payne was ejected from the game after delivering the blow to Fulkerson and Mike White made the decision to sit the forward for Florida’s NCAA Tournament opener against Virginia Tech.

Following Florida’s win over the Hokies, White discussed his decision to bench Payne for the game.

Despite not having Fulkerson available in the lineup, Tennessee is favored by eight points to beat Oregon State.
