Tennessee’s top-ranked 2020 prospect, Alabama legacy Reggie Grimes releases his top 10 list
Reggie Grimes II may have a tough decision to make this time next year — stay at home and play for the in-state team or head to his father’s alma mater to follow in the former Crimson Tide defender’s steps.
Neither is a bad option but it appears they won’t be the only options for the elite Tennessee defender, as Grimes currently ranks as the state’s No. 1 overall prospect and top 25 overall prospect nationally by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Aside from Alabama and Tennessee, SEC schools LSU, South Carolina and Vanderbilt all made Grimes’ recently released top 10 list, too.
The son of Reggie Grimes, a former defensive end for Alabama in the late 1990s, the pull to Tuscaloosa may prove to be too much to overcome for any other program but that’s not going to stop Jeremy Pruitt and his Tennessee staff from doing everything they can to keep the Mount Juliet native to stay in state and play in Knoxville.
The early signing period clearly has Grimes forecasting his own signing as the four-star recruit recently posted his top 10 list.
Grimes released his list via Twitter on Christmas Day:
