NFL legend Terrell Owens is present at the commitment ceremony for 5-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan on Wednesday afternoon.
Morgan, who has offers from just about every top program in the country, will announce his college commitment on Wednesday in a ceremony at Benjamin Russell High School (Ala.). Owens is also a BRHS alum, so the Hall-of-Famer made an appearance at his old stomping grounds to support the next generation.
Here’s a short clip of Owens talking with Morgan ahead of the ceremony:
While Owens certainly made a name for himself in the NFL, he was a much less-heralded recruit than Morgan is coming out of BRHS. Owens ended up attending Chattanooga before embarking on a legendary NFL career.
A 3rd-round pick in 1996, Owens retired after the 2010 season with nearly 16,000 receiving yards and 153 touchdowns to his name.
Morgan is choosing between 6 finalists: Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Colorado, Auburn and Florida. He’s the No. 12 overall player and the No. 2 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1-ranked player from the state of Alabama.
Morgan is expected to announce his commitment at 2 p.m. ET.
