Texas A&M has added another piece to its top-10 recruiting class.
Chance Collins is the newest Aggie pledge. The in-state defensive back committed to Texas A&M on Wednesday.
Out of Mansfield (Texas) Timberview High School, Collins measures 6-2 and 195 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Collins is rated 3-stars, the No. 33 safety, No. 47 player in the state of Texas and No. 364 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
As one of the top DBs in the Lone Star State, Collins was widely recruited, picking up 18 scholarship offers. Arizona, Oklahoma State, Houston, Michigan State, Pittsburgh and TCU were among the programs that showed interest. Collins told Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he chose Texas A&M over Texas Tech, Utah and West Virginia.
Collins’ commitment gives Mike Elko’s staff 14 verbal pledges for the 2026 recruiting class. Texas A&M currently ranks No. 7 nationally on the Composite.
