Texas A&M cracked the top 8 for 4-star linebacker Brayden Platt Tuesday afternoon. The Aggies are the only current SEC team that made Platt’s list.

Each of the Power 5 conference are represented on Platt’s list, though. He’s also considering Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, UCLA, Oregon and USC. Of course, Oklahoma is set to join the SEC in 2024.

Platt has a pretty wide range of rankings across the 3 major sites. 247Sports considers him to be a top-100 prospect, while their composite rankings list him as the No. 262 overall prosect. 247 ranks Platt as the No. 9 linebacker in the country and the No. 2 player out of the state of Washington.

The Aggies offered Platt on April 9, the most recent school on his list to do so. Texas A&M does not currently hold a commitment in the 2024 cycle.
