Texas A&M is 8-0, its best start to a season since 1992. It hasn’t opened a campaign 9-0 since 1956.

With 4 games to go, the Aggies are drawing closer to a first-ever SEC Championship Game appearance. More importantly, their eyes are fixed on a possible first-ever berth in the College Football Playoff.

That said, Mizzou has Playoff aspirations of its own. A spot in the SEC title game is out of the question, barring a massive collapse among the teams ahead of it in the standings. But a win over the Aggies could provide a big boost to the Tigers’ fading at-large CFP hopes.

Circa Sports’ opening lines for each FBS game were released on Sunday afternoon, and, as expected, the Aggies have been favored by the sportsbook to leave Columbia with a win. Texas A&M is a 7-point favorite.

The last time these two teams met was Oct. 5, 2024, a game that was all A&M. Le’Veon Moss rushed for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns and Amari Daniels added 2 more as the Aggies opened up a 24-0 halftime lead en route to a 41-10 win. It was the first loss of the season for the Tigers.

Texas A&M’s last visit to Mizzou was in 2021, a 35-14 win.
