Back in late-July, Texas A&M QB James Foster announced he was leaving the Aggie program and exploring his transfer options.

It appears he’s had a change of heart and will instead return to A&M for his redshirt sophomore season.

Per The Eagle, an A&M spokesperson has confirmed that Foster is back with the team as of Monday afternoon.

Foster originally announced his intent to enter the transfer portal on July 25 with the following tweet:

Foster appeared in 4 games during the 2019 season, completing 2 of his 5 pass attempts for 25 yards and adding 17 yards on 2 rushing attempts.

Where he ends up on the depth chart in 2020 remains to be seen, but Kellen Mond is the presumed starter heading into the year.
