Texas A&M RB Rueben Owens registers as fastest CFB player of Week 11

Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens gives the Aggies a true game-breaker at the running back position, and he is the perfect complement to Marcel Reed and the Aggies passing game.

On the season, he has 91 carries for 542 yards and five rushing touchdowns.

During the win against Missouri in Week 11, he finished with 13 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns. On those scores was from 57 yards out, and he showcased elite speed on the play. He hit a top speed of 21.5 MPH, which was the fastest by any player in Week 11.

Owens was expected to have a big role in 2024, but he suffered an injury in the fall that made him miss the entire season. He was able to return for the bowl, but he is starting to showcase the potential that had Aggies fans excited for him in 2023.

Texas A&M will look to continue its undefeated season in Week 12 when the Aggies host the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Aggies are in complete control of their destiny when it comes to playing in the SEC Championship game, as well as making it to the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history.
