Texas A&M wide receiver Cyrus Allen will enter the transfer portal this offseason, according to a report.
That’s per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who cited a conversation with Allen on Tuesday. Allen was a starter for the Aggies in 2024 after transferring in from Louisiana Tech last offseason.

Allen departs College Station with 1 year of eligibility remaining. He caught 18 passes for 269 yards and 1 touchdown during his lone season at A&M. He finished 4th on the team in total receiving yards despite not playing in A&M’s final 2 contests due to a season-ending injury.
Per Pro Football Focus, Allen was targeted 33 times this season. His reception percentage of 54.5% ranks 5th out of 5 A&M wide receivers who were targeted at least 10 times this season.
Texas A&M’s passing game was mostly non-existent this season. The Aggies went back-and-forth between Conner Weigman and Marcel Reed under center, but neither option was particularly efficient as a passer.
Texas A&M will have the opportunity to replace Allen’s production via the portal or perhaps with a younger player. The Aggies currently have 1 blue-chip wide receiver committed in the class of 2025: 4-star receiver Kelshaun Johnson of Hitchcock, Texas.
