Texas A&M social media account mocks Bobby Petrino after win over Arkansas
Texas A&M defeated Arkansas 45-42 on Saturday night in Fayetteville to remain undefeated on the season.
After the game, Texas A&M Football‘s official X account shared a celebratory graphic that pokes fun at Arkansas interim head coach Bobby Petrino. The graphic depicts a Texas A&M player riding a motorcycle away from Razorback Stadium.
Here’s a look:
The image appears to be a reference Petrino’s motorcycle accident from 2012 that ultimately resulted in him being fired as Arkansas’s head coach. Petrino re-joined the program as offensive coordinator in 2024 and was promoted to interim head coach earlier this month following the dismissal of Sam Pittman.
The Texas A&M vs. Arkansas rivalry dates back decades when both programs were members of the Southwest Conference. The Aggies have now won 4 consecutive games in this series.
Texas A&M will take an undefeated record into next week’s game against LSU. The Razorbacks will be looking to earn their first SEC win of the season in Week 9 against Auburn.
