To be named the starting offensive tackle for Texas A&M is a big deal.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Avery Gennesy has to be licking his chops. For three straight years, the Aggies have put their starting left tackle in the first-round of the NFL draft. Last season, Cedric Ogbuehi extended A&M’s program streak of first-round selections to five consecutive years. Gennesy redshirted during the 2014 season after transferring from East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Miss.
Ifedi, the returning starter, is poised for a big season, too. The redshirt junior announced his return in January, and immediately he became of the best returning offensive linemen in the country. Ifedi has started 24 games in two seasons for the Aggies.
Texas A&M will boast one of college football’s best offensive lines yet again in 2015, headlined by offensive tackles Ifedi and Gennesy and center Mike Matthews.
