Texas had the college football world watching as it took care of business on the road at Michigan this past Saturday.

FOX announced Tuesday that the Texas at Michigan clash drew 9.35 million viewers.

While some fans might not find the “most-watched college football game this season on any network” significant in Week 2, the 9.35 is legitimately strong. Jason Kirk of the Shutdown Fullcast noted that the game would rank in the top 5 for 2023 regular-season games. That includes besting ESPN’s ratings for last year’s meeting between Texas and Alabama in Tuscaloosa, as Longhorn reporter Brian Davis pointed out.

Texas is on ESPN in Week 3, as Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns host in-state foe UTSA at 7 p.m. ET.
