Texas ties SEC Championship Game vs. Georgia with clutch 41-yard TD pass
Texas and Georgia are tied at 13-13 early on in the fourth quarter thanks to a big-time TD pass from Quinn Ewers.
Ewers found DeAndre Moore on 3rd down on route over the middle. Moore took advantage of a coverage bust in Georgia’s defense and cruised into the end zone for the Longhorns’ first TD of the game — and a much-needed game-tying score.
Here’s a replay of Moore’s big play:

Although this was Texas’s first TD of the game, the Longhorns have been very efficient in the passing game so far this season. This was UT’s 7th passing play of 20+ yards in this game. The only game that featured more such passes from Texas this season was against Florida (9).
This TD pass also broke Texas out of a big slump. The Longhorns moved the ball at will in the first half, but they got off to a slow start offensively in the third quarter before finally finding the end zone. UT gained a total of 9 yards on its first 2 drives of the second half.
Texas and Georgia are not only playing for an SEC Championship, but also an automatic bid in this year’s College Football Playoff.
