Jaylen Waddle is a lock to be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The only question is whether he’ll be a top-10 pick or not.

On SportsCenter over the weekend, ESPN analyst Jeremy Fowler said multiple scouts are high on Waddle’s potential.

Per Fowler, Waddle is drawing comparisons to star Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (via 247Sports):

“I’ve talked to multiple scouts in the process who said Waddle might be the best overall player in this draft, regardless of position,” Fowler said Sunday morning on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “He’s electric. He reminds them a little bit of Tyreek Hill, with his speed and big-play ability.

“So I talked to a source who said Waddle believes he’s going to go somewhere in the top 10. Not a slam dunk, but he believes it. So if a team wants to trade up for him, they might have to get there.”

Of course, just being speedy isn’t going to make a player as productive as Hill. But, Waddle has the blazing speed and the production in college to at least be worthy of the comparison.

Now, the only question is: where will he end up when the draft kicks off in Cleveland on Thursday night?
