Making a positive impact in the lives of others seems to be Tim Tebow’s ultimate goal in life. It’s his mission; it’s his calling, and that’s very evident with his foundation’s annual event, “Night to Shine.”
The foundation’s website describes the event as the following:
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 16 and older. On one night, February 12, 2016, more than 200 host churches in 48 states and 8 countries will host Night to Shine. That’s more than 70,000 volunteers and 30,000 honored guests sharing the same amazing prom experience on the same night around the world.
The foundation also produced a video explaining the very reason it created Night to Shine. Tebow says, “We started a Night to Shine because we wanted people with special needs to feel important, to know that they’re loved, but more importantly, to know that there’s a God that loves them.”
Tebow has meant a lot to many people on the football field, but, more importantly, he brings his passion to the community of people with special needs.
