Tim Tebow’s NFL dreams may be over for good. If he couldn’t make the roster for mad scientist/coach Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles, there may be no hope.
But his broadcasting career? He’s a wanted man, at least within the SEC.

Tebow returned to the SEC Nation set Saturday morning, about one week after the Eagles released him during final cuts.

Greg McElroy, the former Alabama quarterback and a backup for the New York Jets, joined the show as Tebow’s replacement last week. But any “back to the bench” jokes are obsolete, as McElroy remained on set along with Tebow, Paul Finebaum, Marcus Spears and host Joe Tessitore.
Tebow remains a huge name — and a recognizable face — within the Southeastern United States. Last year, his analysis left something to be desired at times. But to be fair, it represented his first time on live television as a broadcaster.
In limited doses, it’s nice having Tebow as part of SEC Nation. His “Freak of the Week” segment, which highlighted Sony Michel, is pretty entertaining.
“Tim quickly developed into an excellent analyst last year, and we were not shy about acknowledging his home at ESPN should he be available to return,” said John Wildhack, ESPN Executive Vice President, after the announcement of Tebow’s return.
