Travis Hunter entered Saturday’s game against Kansas as the heavy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, and he could also be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Hunter got his day started with a 51-yard touchdown catch early in the second quarter to get the Buffaloes on the scoreboard. Then, after his second touchdown, he reminded the country that he believes this race is over.

In the third quarter of the game, he went over 100 receiving yards for the sixth time this season. He also notched his fourth game this year with at least 2 receiving touchdowns.

Not only is he in the race for the Heisman, but the Buffaloes are right there in contention to make the Big 12 title game. The Buffaloes entered the day tied for first in the conference, but the Jayhawks have made it extremely difficult.

Colorado trailed 23-14 at the halftime break and went into the fourth quarter facing a 30-21 deficit.

Hunter should be earning a trip to New York City on Dec. 14 for the presentation of the award. He’ll have 1 more regular-season game to impress, as the Buffaloes host Oklahoma State on Nov. 29.
