Travis Hunter is one of the best college football players in America, and from a pure talent standpoint he may stand alone. The Colorado star plays both sides of the football, suiting up as a wide receiver on offense and a cornerback on defense.
Hunter is currently listed as the frontrunner for the Heisman trophy because of his star abilities on both sides of the ball.
ON Saturday, Hunter took some time to join the crew at College GameDay in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania ahead of Penn State vs. Ohio State. He told the crew that he’s able to prepare for both sides by treating every practice rep at 100% effort while grinding over 10 hours of film per week.
Here’s his full comments.
Colorado’s Travis Hunter appeared on ESPN’s “College GameDay” as well today. There, he had a discussion with Nick Saban about preparing to play both ways each week, and going all-out in practice on both sides. “Practice, it’s got to be full speed.” pic.twitter.com/LQU34M6ojZ

Colorado is a controversial team because of its head coach, but it’s hard not to love Hunter as a player. He’s as unique as they come because he’s a star at both positions – Hunter has totaled 60 receptions for 757 yards and 8 touchdowns on offense and 7 pass deflections with 2 interceptions and a forced fumble on defense.
Colorado is on bye this week, but the Buffs will be back in action against Texas Tech.
