LSU freshman defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao suffered a serious injury to his arm Monday and had to be taken to the hospital.

Lealaimatafao reportedly punched through a glass window in the Tigers’ weight room after he had a disagreement with his girlfriend, according to The Times-Picayune. The glass reportedly tore through his bicep all the way to bone.

“It was horrific,” said one witness to NOLA.com. “Horrible to see.”

The glass may have severed his bicep, and his 2014 freshman season could be in jeopardy. The Tigers were counting on him to make an impact this season.

Lealaimatafao was a touted three-star prospect from Texas and was ranked as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the country.
