Talented LSU wide receiver Trey Quinn is transferring after two years.

The sophomore sent out a note on Twitter thanking LSU and its coaches for the opportunity.

“I would like to send a special thank you out to Louisiana State University and the opportunity they provided for me to receive a quality education while playing football,” Quinn wrote. “To the coaches and players, it’s been a blessing to have built relationships with each and every one of y’all. And to the fans, I want to thank you for your continued support and love that y’all show. But for now, I have to follow the path the Lord has set out for me. I’m glad I can say I was an LSU Tiger. Forever LSU.”

Quinn caught 17 catches for 193 yards as a freshman and five catches for 83 yards as a sophomore.

The Lake Charles, La., native was the country’s No. 10 overall wide receiver and the No. 8 player in the state of Louisiana in the 2014 recruiting class.
