Trey Smith will be active for the Kansas City Chiefs as they host the Los Angeles Chargers on “Thursday Night Football”.

The former Tennessee offensive lineman was ruled questionable in the leadup to the AFC West tilt as he nursed an ankle injury. However, he has been deemed active and ready to go for Thursday.

Smith is in his 2nd NFL season after being drafted by the Chiefs in 2021. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team after starting every game that year, becoming just one of a handful of players in Chiefs history to start every game as a rookie. Per his bio on Chiefs.com, he gave up only 2.5 sacks.

In Week 1’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, he ended up injuring his ankle, but it’s not serious enough to keep him off the field against the Chargers. However, he’ll be closely watched throughout the contest just in case.
