Just like the Alabama quarterback he’s named after, Tua the horse won in his first big showcase event.

Of course, the stakes where a little bit different for Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama when the freshman signal-caller took over for Jalen Hurts in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Georgia, but nonetheless, Tua the horse won the 3-year old, 5-gaited division at the Shenandoah Classic in June in Lexington, Virginia according to AL.com.

The event was the horse’s first showcase event.

Now Tua the horse is off to the World Championship Horse Show, which is set for August. If he wins, both Tua’s can claim the ultimate prize in their respective sports.
