Based on his first NFL contract, Tua Tagovailoa made the right decision to leave Alabama a year early for the NFL.

Tagovailoa went on to become the fifth overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins and has been handsomely rewarded by the team to attempt and try and fix the franchise’s woes under center.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins have signed Tagovailoa to his first NFL contract.

Rapoport shared on Twitter: “The Dolphins have filed their contract for No. 5 pick Tua Tagovailoa, with his 4-year, $30.28M deal official with a 5th-year option. He gets a signing bonus of $19.6M, and it’s all guaranteed.”

Considering the money he’s got in his bank account, it’s no surprise to see the former Alabama quarterback already spending some of it on his mom. If you missed it, Tua bought his mother a new car for Mother’s Day.
