Tua Tagovailoa looks to be gearing up for a second-year surge with the Miami Dolphins.
The former Alabama quarterback had an up-and-down rookie season taking over as Miami’s QB1 midseason. In 2021 preseason, Tagovailoa is looking sharp. Tagovailoa drew rave reviews on Saturday night in the Miami-Atlanta game, starting off 8-for-8 passing in the first quarter. He finished the first half 16-of-23 for 183 yards and a touchdown.
Here are are a couple of his highlight plays, including the TD:

Tua Tagovailoa went 8-for-8 in the first quarter and he's not even going against Georgia.

Tua Tagovailoa is slinging it tonight. This is not the player we saw in 2020. Not even close. Better delivery. Better arm strength. Better command.

Tua Tagovailoa was pretty damn good in the 1st half tonight. Confident. In rhythm. Accurate. Aggressive. Good pocket presence. Looks like a better QB thus far headed into Year 2 regular season. pic.twitter.com/GmfRGrcvWD

#Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa finishes the first half 16 of 23 for 183 yards and a TD, 107.7 rating in the first half vs. Falcons. Miami showed quite a compliment of offensive plays, while Tua showed his improvement with command and confidence.

It’s only a game and a half of the pre-season but Tua Tagovailoa looks terrific.

@Tua growth is evident. His command of the offense, pocket presence & ability to extend plays were on full display in the first half. This young man has IT. #TuaTime
